Restoring the Constitution

The coming war over the Constitution.

Ruth Bader Ginsberg loves the South African Constitution, but not ours.

Pretty interesting article on Roe v. Wade. A questionable decision on many aspects.

The New York Times seems to be looking for dirt on judge Kavanaugh's wife, even though she's not the nominee.

A well-researched video on plastic straws. Watch it on YouTube.

Santa Barbara has a new ordnance against handing out plastic straws which includes jail time. Scroll down and read the twitter reaction.

Global warming is pretty far down on the list of things people are concerned about: number nineteen on a list.

A greiving father is working to put an initiative on the ballot to eliminate driver's licenses for illegal immigrants. Read about how well the law is working.

After Helsinki's Trump-Putin Summit, the Russia card is still America's Trump card.

Joe Biden is getting ready to run for President in 2020. Some of these old stories are likely to come up again: Biden swims naked, upsetting female Secret Service agents.  The Washington Post "What are we going to do about creepy Joe Biden?"

10 FACTS THAT PROVE TRUMP’S HELSINKI CRITICS ARE IN AN ALTERNATIVE REALITY: Actually the post is about 10 facts that demonstrate how President Donald Trump has restored muscle to U.S. policies and defenses against Russia. One might also title the post “10 Facts That Prove Much of the MSM is Off Its Rocker.” Or how about this? “10 Facts To Make Putin Think Twice About Messing With Trump.” Take your pick.

In the New York Democratic primary, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a 28-year-old former Bernie Sanders organizer, knocked off incumbent Rep. Joe Crowley—the chairman of the House Democratic Caucus. Crowley was considered by many to be second in line to be speaker of the House if Democrats capture the chamber in the November elections. Ms. Cortez is a Socialist, a stylish theme among Democrats these days. Like many Socialists, she doesn't seem to understand economics, despite being fourth in her class at Boston U.  She doesn't seem to understand international relationships either, just mouthing liberal talking points.

Maybe we should teach our children how to get jobs, not to be social justice warriors.

Trump and Putin round-up

Diplomacy vs. politics. A thoughtful analysis of the Trump-Putin summit.

And what the critics missed about the summit, with a little extra on Strzok.

Surprisingly, Rand Paul seems to be the only congressman supporting Trump. Watch the video to see how the media become advocates instead of reporters.

From Roger Simon, former liberal. The Putin summit may be Trump's finest hour.

Folks in the media are the smartest people in the world and Trump is stupid. Of course he's a billionaire and president of the U.S.

Trump throws a wrench into the server. Where is it?

A pretty interesting but lengthy analysis of how the FBI allegedly followed the trail of the Russian hacking.

The Russians and the narratives. It's all about the narratives.

Trump isn't acting like a Russian mole. Look at the list of things he's doing.

The FBI and DOJ are stonewalling congress in hopes that the Democrats will win in November and kill the probe into their activities.

Here's a liberal, Noam Chomsky, with his take on the summit.

And, a roundup of non-Trump news:

Apparently, the Russians hacked into the Republican servers as well, but with less success.

Peter Strzok is a very strange person. How did he rise to a position of power in the FBI?  Even more here on our most entertaining FBI agent.

The deep state is dishonest. Here's some examples from today's news.

Uncomfortable questions about the hacking indictment. Issues that need to be considered.

Delicious infighting among the Democrats over the Kavanaugh nomination.

Here's something for fans of pre-school. It turns out it is bad for kids, but makes lot of jobs for members ot the teacher's union.

The Parkland kids reveal their ignorance about gun control.

The State Department doesn't like Trump. Is this a gift to him?

This day care worker hung a toddler by the neck. The child was rescued, but she got no jail time.

Obama spoke in South Africa. One theme was how he loves to tell the truth.

The worst thing about Trump’s outbursts on Brexit and Nato? That he’s right.

The Democrat's war on women: what was it really about?

Women avoid majoring in science, technology, engineering and math. Why do they avoid STEM?

Twenty-one newspapers received letters about Trump's Supreme Court choice. All 21 were identical.

Israel stole 100,000 documents from the Iranians documenting how they were cheating on the agreement to not build nuclear bombs. Here's how the Israelies did it.

Socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who just won a primary in New York over a powerful Democrat, attacks Israel, calls them the occupiers of Palestine. Then shows her ignorance.

Somebody bought a full-page ad in a San Francisco paper to warn people to watch their backs for homeless people.

Feel guilty when you use whole milk? Turns out it's good for you.

Crime is Baltimore is exploding. It seems the police aren't trying very hard since the city didn't support them in the Freddie Gray case.

The Babylon Bee is a fun parody site.  Here's their explanation of Democratic Socialism.  And here's a report on Bernie Saunders complaining about greedy rich people.

This liberal cartoonist has evolved from making fun of Donald Trump to supporting him. You can click through the cartoons to see the change.

Seeing dead people is not a rare as you think. Read about the science.

The Democrats are going over in a barrel. The basic problem is they hate the Constitution but are no longer getting their way.

Cal Poly is working to increase the number of minority students and faculty. The academic standards of the well-regarded university will certainly decline when the color of skin becomes more important than education.

Teachers union gives anthem protestor Kaepernick its ‘highest honor. Another reason to question the teachers union's support of education of our students.

You've heard of the gold rush. How about a sand rush in West Texas.

Hell freezes over. The New York Times commends the selection of Kavanaugh.

When July 4 meant a defeat by Islam. Read this compelling account.

Here's an account of am immigrant who is a credit to her adopted country.

Here's a shocking report that didn't surprise some of us. Most of those scientific studies are wrong.

Pruitt is out at the EPA, justifiably. Here's a list of EPA scandals from the previous administration.

The Democrats are upset about the Supreme Court nomination. They have only themselves to blame for their judicial predicament.

The Left is coming out in favor of Socialism. Socialism can ruin your life.

More here: if Socialism is so great, why has it never worked anywhere?

It's hard to start a business. The bureaucracy stands in your way.

Something for movie fans: the 10 best summer blockbusters over the years.

Are you dutifully recycling your plastic waste? It isn't doing any good.

Those pictures of plastic islands floating around in the ocean? 90% of plastic waste comes from 10 rivers in Asia and Africa.

Did Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders Save America? This writer thinks so because they turned off the electorate.

Liberals discount the use of guns for self defense. More people do this than die in car accidents.

The Department of Education under Obama was more interested in political correctness than education.

Oberlin College is wrongly attacking a local bakery. They are also having financial difficulties.

The Democrat Party doesn't know anything about judge Kavanaugh. They just know they don't like him.

Thomas Sowell was a giant in economics. Here are 30 of his best quotes.

A good week on the Supreme Court

The court ruled that people don't have to give money to unions to keep their job. Here is an egregious example from the ruling: "Dewhirst argued that Abood had "spawned all types of corrupt problems." Washington Governor Jay Inslee, for example, benefitted from more than $700,000 in union dollars at the very time Inslee himself was negotiating with these unions in 2016."

And of course the court ruled that Trumps ban on immigrants from certain countries was legal.

And, the court ruled that women's pro-life support organizations were not required to refer patients to abortion clinics.

After the conclusion of the session, Justice Anthony Kennedy announced his retirement. He has been a swing vote. Trump will get another pick.

All three of these rulings were 5 to 4, with the conservative justices ruling on the law and the liberals ruling on what they thought the law should be instead.

Here's a Supreme Court argument that cost liberals the election.

There are no conservatives left in the media now that Charles Krauthammer has died.

Here's a fun article on the Theory of Evolution. All life on Earth seems to be about the same age.

A terrific lecture, Victor Davis Hanson on how Trump won the election.

Remember Little House on the Prairie? The librarians have started banning books now, they removed Laura Ingalls Wilder from the Laura Ingalls Wilder Children's Book Award because it's racist.

More about Laura: it seems she wasn't really racist.

A reporter falsely reported that the Annapolis shoot had a MAGA hat. More fake news, he has resigned.

More fake news. Time issued a correction for that cover featuring Trump and the little girl.

How is Trump doing? He is winning and the Left needs to admit it.

Venezuela is imploding, and yet liberals keep loving Socialism.

Civilians are becoming better armed; quite a bit better than the military and police combined.

Harvard University is racist. They say Asians lack courage, kindness and likeability. More here on Harvard's discrimination.

There is a movie in progress that allegedly will give Ronald Reagan his due for a change.

Gavin Newsom will be the next governor of California. He is liberalism personified and another example of what's wrong with the state.

One problem with America is that the younger generation are not joining service organizations.

The First Amendment does not require that we be nice to journalists.

And the left's favorite president. We really did have a Manchurian candidate in the White House.
