Obama worked to destroy school discipline. Betsy DeVos is fixing that; it's a great thing.

If you are an iPhone fan, you might enjoy this review of every iPhone ever made.

Famously liberal city Seattle has a serious homeless problem. They spend $1B a year on homelessness; there are about 10,000 homeless people in Seattle. That's $100,000 per homeless person every year, enough to put them up in a nice middle class home.

If you're old like me, you remember the Pueblo. A case history on how not to handle a crisis.

This writer is suggesting that the investigations are actually a cover-up to protect the real criminals.

Planning to see the movie about Dick Cheney?  Christian Toto says it's liberal propaganda.

In 2013, virtually every Democrat Senator that's still around endorsed the border fence. Now that Trump wants it, they are opposed. The usual hypocrisy from politicians.

Dave Barry's annual year in review article.

Another edition of the worst fake news stories of 2018.

If a lawyer wrote "The Night Before Christmas".

The New York Times pulled some Christmas movie reviews out of the archives. The actual movies held up better than the reviews.

Speaking of Christmas movies, here's a Hallmark Christmas movie junkie.

Fake News

Der Spiegel is a major news magazine in Germany. They just fired one of their reporters for making up facts (what you might call “fake news”).  One of the stories was about Fergus Falls Minnesota, 30 miles from Chris' home town of Vining.

And don't miss the story by a Fergus Falls resident that outlined the 11 worst falsehoods in the story.

More on media incompetence: 18 things they got wrong in 2018.

Victor Davis Hanson on the lack of credibility in James Comey's testimony.

You've heard of porch pirates. It's much worse in San Francisco where 85% voted for Hillary.

You've seen in the news about all the attacks on Donald Trump. Nothing is being done about the Clinton Foundation with more egregious crimes.

Remember when you were young and wandered free in the neighborhood?  These days helicopter adults are doing dumb things to keep kids safe.

The Clinton Foundation

Here's an update on the Clinton Foundation. It seems that Bill was unable to keep from mixing funds and donations have gotten a lot smaller since Hillary lost the election.

Michael Flynn was set up according to this author because he was on the wrong side of history.

The always insightful Victor Davis Hanson on the Mueller probe.

63 percent of ‘non-citizens’ are on welfare, confirmed by the census. Maybe Trump is right that illegal immigrants are a drain on taxpayer dollars.

President Bush's internment was honored with a flyover by 21 jets. You can watch the video here. That was nice, but they really should have rounded up one of those torpedo bombers that George Bush flew.  I saw one at Battle Lake Minnesota a couple of years ago at a modest little fly-in. When they unfolded the wings and fired up that big radial, the prop wash almost blew me over. There are plenty of flying Avengers around including one at the George H. W. Bush presidential library.

Donald Trump and his people are doing a thousand things to make America great again. These things stay under the radar because the media focuses on his tweets. One example is changes in the school lunch program, a disaster under Michelle Obama.

A holiday without.  I almost didn't post this, but the explanation of why candy canes are unacceptable is too good to miss.

A Dallas Cowboys football player dropped $21 into a Salvation Army kettle and the NFL fined him for unsportsmanlike conduct.  Where was the NFL when football players were kneeling during the National Anthem.

This gay journalist became a conservative. He found out that being conservative is worse than being gay.

This author has gathered up what he considers the 10 worst Christmas songs of all time.

You have migraines?  Here's a study on a good food supplement.

Politicians always talk about "affordable housing".  There are a lot of ways to reduce the cost of housing, starting with the building codes, but the politicians are going the other way by requiring solar panels on all new homes.

Here's a story in the New York Times about how the world missed its change to end global warming. It's a history piece the won the "Energy Writer of the Year Award".  Compelling images are included. I need to read further to see if it mentions all the dire predictions that didn't come true or if it discusses the contrary view that anthropogenic global warming might be a scam.

Here's a photo of Lt. jg George Bush in his Grumman TBF Avenger torpedo bomber. On a side note, the torpedo bombers were wiped out at the decisive Battle of Midway, but the aerial bombers sunk the Japanese carriers.
