George Washington

This week saw the observance of Washington's Birthday. Here's a remembrance of the indispensable man. In that article is a letter from a Jewish community expressing appreciation of his visit. There is also a link to a famous letter he wrote in response expressing the United States support of religious freedom which we seem to be forgetting.

Victor Davis Hanson eviscerates the elite's disdain for the working class.

The USC sorority girl that joined the CIA.

Speaking of history, how about some history of Bernie Saunders?

Over half of the coal-fired power plants are in India and China, and almost 700 are in the pipeline. Coal makes more CO2 than any other energy source. Taxing poor people in the USA to solve global warming isn't going to make any difference.

Iran is still struggling to recover from the loss of Sulimani,

Across the country, rural communities want to secede from their states. Here's why.

Since the Democrats have taken over the California State government, it seems they come up with another stupid idea every day. Here's one: Gender neutral’ plan for toys would get rid of boys’ and girls’ aisles in California stores.

Roger Stone

Roger Stone was railroaded by Mueller's prosecutors. Read this analysis of the case.

Fun review of the Nevada Democrat debate, said here to be the greatest debate in human history.  Jim Geraghty also says "finally, a debate worth watching".

There is an old pamphlet: The Wit and Wisdom of Michael Bloomberg" which has been in the news lately. Excerpts have been printed in the news and were used in the Democrat debate. The excerpts are outrageous, but if you look at the whole 32-page booklet, they have been taken wildly out of context. You can read the document here.

Remember Avenatti, Stormy Daniels lawyer? Ubiquitous on the TV talk shows; briefly ran for President. Read what Jeffery Toobin has to say now that Avenatti has been convicted of blackmail.

The usually liberal CNN has an interesting take on Bernie's solution to global warming. Zakaria says Trump's solution is better. This is definitely worth watching.

Bob Shane, the last original member of the Kingston Trio died. I have most of their records saved from my youth. They were great, though not as musically talented as their contemporaries: The Limelighters.

The left side of Oregon is liberal. The right side is conservative. The right is petitioning to become part of Idaho.

This is fun: Trump attended the Daytona 500, had his plane buzz the field, let the cars around the track in his limo, and gave the engine start command. Videos galore!

The New York Times looked at the FISA application and ruled them ugly.

A Democrat at a Trump rally

This life-long Democrat attended a Trump rally.  She was shocked at that she found.

Bernie Saunders is the front runner at the moment. He has a lot of crazy ideas that most people are not hearing about. This is scary.

For example, both Bernie and Elizabeth have stated they will ban fracking. Otherwise you haven't heard much about it lately, as there has been no evidence it damages groundwater.

The Air Force is retiring hundreds of planes, going to the Arizona boneyard.

The National Security Council is filled with Obama holdovers. It's time to clean house.

What does Michael Bloomberg believe? Where the candidate stands on 6 issues.

Once again the Babylon Bee establishes itself as the "paper of record". This high school track star was concerned about her chances for a scholarship.

What General Flynn's wife had to say about the deep state.

Why do homosexuals oppose Pete Buttigieg? He's not queer enough.

What happens when a politician tells the truth? Here's Michael Bloomberg losing some votes with his effective law and order policies. Here are the statistics behind Bloomberg's remarks. Seems like he was right.

Roger Stone has been in the news over sentencing guidelines. It turns out that not only was the Judge biased, but also the fore-person of the jury.

According to government websites, the Presidential Medal of Freedom is for “an especially meritorious contribution to the security or national interests of the United States, world peace, cultural or other significant public or private endeavors.” Liberals are upset about Rush Limbaugh receiving the Medal, but nobody who actually listens to him has a problem with the award. Rush was in trouble recently for remarks on Buttigieg's expression of sexual orientation.

Rush Limbaugh

Victor Davis Hanson is pitching in on Rush Limbaugh. Hanson thinks Rush is a genius.

I am one of those who think Rush Limbaugh is a great American, but the leftists are falling all over themselves because he got the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Here's an author who agrees with me and makes the case. If Ellen DeGeneres deserves one, how can you complain about Rush being on the same list. Here's another writer who thinks that Rush is important to our way of life.

Here's a background story on Eric Ciaramella that's pretty interesting.  He of course is widely known to be the whistle blower.

An insurance company is sending people to Mexico and Canada to buy prescription drugs. They pay the patient for their time and expenses and still save a ton of money on prescriptions.

The world's biggest firework, weighing almost 3000 pounds fired a mile in the air over Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Watch the video. Sound on for extra fun.

The most useful thing in today's blog: how to properly reheat pizza the next day. Various methods were tested, find out which works best.

As you may recall, Michelle Obama took over the school lunch program mandating meals that kids wouldn't eat resulting in a lot of waste. One of Trump's unsung initiatives was rolling back that disaster. You can read between the lines in this press release from the USDA. There are just a ton of things that Trump has accomplished that get no recognition.

Dane Jackson, a national kayak champion, rode his kayak over a 134-foot waterfall in Chile. Read about it and watch the video.

Communism

Kids today (and some misguided politicians) are enamored with Socialism and its brother Communism.  They don't know what it was like. Here is a first hand account.

California has a new law: AB5.  It was a gift to the unions from Democrats. It's putting a lot of people out of work and they are upset.

This is interesting. Richard Pearse built an airplane before the Wright Brothers.

Did China steal the Corona Virus from Canada and weaponize it?

There are usually bad locust swarms in much of East Africa. Here are some pictures in The Atlantic.

Here's some fun anecdotes about Biden's skill as a politician.

There's a new film coming out about Justice Clarence Thomas, exposing the high-tech lynching attempt by Joe Biden

A pretty good critique of the reporters who covered Jussie Smollett hoax.

I watched most of the impeachment hearings live.  I thought the defense team did an amazing job arguing against the Democrats case. The reliably biased media thought the opposite and gave the Democrats more credit than they deserved. Many people have become skeptical of the media once they see coverage of some event they witnessed directly.

Here's a update on the streets of San Francisco a dystopian nightmare.

How the Chinese Government kept news of the Corona virus secret until it was too late. Update Febuary 7. There are reports Li has died from the virus.

Programmers strike again. How an untested smart phone app kept Iowans from reporting the result.

Occasionally, different numbers of people in China infected with the Coronavirus are leaked out. Here's one example. Considering the extensive quarantine efforts, larger numbers seem likely.

Here's something you don't often hear about Harvey Milk.

The media is always wrong about Trump and national security.

James Carville is panicking; scared to death of Bernie Sanuders.

Here's a fellow reflecting on the impact of Rush Limbaugh.

Sometimes it's just impossible to meet racial quotas when the target population is lower than the quota.
