If you hear in the news about the folks who died from taking Chloroquinine, they didn't take the medicine, the took an aquarium cleaning product.

Here's a disturbing report about the use of hydroxychloroquine being banned by the Governor of New York. He's going to kill people in the name of politics. More here from the Governor of Nevada. What is wrong with these people?

This will be over by the time you read this, but this article points out how the Democrats tried to fill the bailout bill with pork and social justice, and the NY Times was complicit.

It will be interesting to see if these claims about Joe Biden develop. They seem credible.

There are reports on conservative media about something called the "Deep State", a shadow government by entrenched civil servants not subject to the will of the people.  Here's a story about Trump's efforts to lighten environmental regulations being quietly opposed by folks in the EPA. I am skeptical of some of the conclusions being made to support the regulations.

The top ten lies about Trump's response to the coronavirus

The top ten lies about Trump's response to the coronavirus.  Here's another take on the same subject.

For a few days, there has been chatter on the Internet that Chloroquinine has been very successful in combating the Corona virus. This is a common, widely available drug used to treat Malaria, on every pharmacists shelf. As of this writing, it hasn't been in the major media. Showing his usual leadership, Trump has made it available to further work on the virus epidemic. More here on Chloroquinine and here.

There's another treatment for the virus, from the 1890's.

Who knew? Joe Biden became a professor after leaving the White House. He didn't have to teach anything, but he got paid a lot. More on Joe. This writer says the problem is not his gaffes, but his lies.

China will come out of the epidemic weaker because of their behavior and the US will be stronger according to Victor Davis Hanson.

Cernovich has an interesting and insightful blog. Scroll down to what he says about the World Health Organization. They seem to be totally incompetent and political. Here's a link to NPR's story on how the UN caused the Haiti Cholera epidemic. I found Cernovich in this article: Who Got the Coronavirus Right.

Want to make your own surgical masks?  It turn out the best material is in your closer.  And, Joann Fabrics has a pattern for a surgical mask (though they didn't know about the best fabric to use). Surprisingly, fabric masks seem to work as good as those special N95 respirators.

You may have heard that China is recovering from the epidemic. The recovery is 'all fake,' whistleblowers and residents claim.

Finally some non-virus news: the DOJ has dismissed the charges against those Russian hackers. Doesn't seem to be any proof.

Freeman Dyson

A celebration of the life of nuclear physicist Freeman Dyson who made many serious contributions to science and was also a contrarian about global warming.

The Biden-Sanders debate was just full of bad economic theory, but one thing that stood out for me was Sanders claim that 500,000 people go bankrupt every year because of medical bills. The Washington Post gave that "three Pinocchios". Biden's economics are even worse with his proposal to end drilling for oil. Even this article understates the impact on the economy.

Do you think people learn things in college? Elon Musk says college is for fun and not useful for knowledge. However, companies use it as a test in recruiting.

Joe Biden released his plan for combating the Corona Virus. It's full of promises that don't hold up in the face of reality, easy to say when you are running for office and harder to make happen when faced with reality

I had forgotten about former televangelist Jim Bakker. Apparently he's out of jail and has a TV show selling medicine to cure the Corona Virus. He got a warning letter from the FDA. He should go back to jail.

Recycling is a boondoggle, created to make liberals feel good, based on false claims that we were running out of places to dump garbage.  Now that China has wised up, it's not working well. The solutions proposed are of course are to tax consumers to subsidize uneconomic solutions when it could just be thrown away cheaply.

Everyone is familiar with Van Gogh's painting Starry Night, but the inspiration was Millet's painting of a starry night, quite different than Van Gogh's. Here is Van Gogh's less famous Starry Night painting.

Joe Biden is having focus troubles during his television live town hall event. Some of the difficulties were technical according to the staff. This author is questioning Biden's ability to perform in the campaign because of his diminished mental capacity. Bernie was hoping this would happen during last Sunday's mano-a-mano debate, but Joe held up pretty well (ignoring of course that his solutions were total BS and unworkable).

In 1665, the University of Cambridge temporarily closed due to the bubonic plague. Isaac Newton had to work from home, and he used this time to develop calculus and the theory of gravity

Joe Biden's plan to handle the virus. He claims he would do it better. It takes a lot of gall to blast Trump’s response to the coronavirus and then call for the exact same courses of action Trump has taken and try to pass it off as your own plan

Joe Biden

This author argues that Joe Biden can't be president. Not that he can't be elected, he just isn't up to the task.

This writer agrees that Biden is not a Socialist, just a scoundrel.

Remember AB5, that bill killing jobs for independent contractors?  Biden weighed in and it will cost him some votes.

The Corona virus fatality rate is much less than advertised. Trump understood that but the media has a problem with math.

In an end run around Republican legislators, Oregon’s Democratic governor ordered the state on Tuesday to lower greenhouse gas emissions, directing a state agency to set and enforce caps on pollution from industry and transportation fuels. This will work out well for the people in Oregon. Too bad the sun doesn't shine much in Oregon.

Michael Flynn seeks total exoneration, not pardon.

The Washington Post reports that: Jesse Jackson told the crowd of 7,600 that he endorsed Sanders only after receiving an ironclad commitment that he would nominate an African American woman to the Supreme Court and a promise that he would give “serious consideration” to naming a black woman as his running mate. This is serious pandering to get an endorsement effectively selling a Supreme Court pick. Didn't Blagojevich go to jail for that?

Too many people have moved to Colorado. Once a reliably conservative state, they have gone extremely liberal, as evidenced by this new bill to replace Columbus Day with a new state holiday honoring Mother Frances Xavier Cabrini on the first Monday in October.

An obscure government bureaucrat helped bring the Corona virus to the US.

Speaking of bureaucrats, they delayed testing because rules were more important than the contagion.

Corona Virus

Microbiologist Dr. James Robb wrote a letter to some friends and family with precautions to take to avoid the Corona Virus.  One of the recipients posted it on their Facebook page, and it got forwarded and linked around the Internet.  You may have received a copy already.  The original letter doesn't seem to be easily linked, but it shows up extracted in many places. Here is a good summary  You can even find it fact checked on Snopes.

The Corona Virus isn't as deadly as you would think from the media coverage, unless you are a senior citizen. Here's a pretty good discussion thread on the Corona Virus.
