Which booster shot should you get?

This article reports the science behind booster shots.  Which combinations offer the best immunity.

The Confusing Mr. Biden. The President’s town hall performance is cause for concern.

The Biden administration announced that Rachel Levine was named the “first-ever, female, four-star admiral” of the U.S. Public Health Services (USPHS) Commissioned Corps. Of course Levine spent his first 50 years as a man. Twitter Suspended a GOP Congressman for Saying Rachel Levine Is a Man.

Just a quick reminder: Alec Baldwin has no problem kicking his fellow man when he’s down. The actor was quick to amplify the establishment left’s pet narrative that law enforcement officers are murderous animals. Baldwin’s 2017 instantaneous judgment on the subject is now one of the most retweeted tweets on Twitter, and deservedly so:

The Bernie Sanders Experiment for America’s Children. Taxpayers won’t be the only ones hurt by the reconciliation bill’s pre-K program, it turns out that pre-K is bad for kids.

NYC’s Homeless Problem Is A Giant Scam!” Tying into my post on homelessness being a profit center for the Democratic Party, here’s a Louis Rossmann video that discusses a homeless shelter in New York City that:

Bills the government $3,500 to $4,000 a month to

House the homeless in a literal shithole (with visible feces in one picture of the place), and

By an amazing coincidence, is run by a non-profit founded by Andrew Cuomo and now run by his sister Maria Cuomo Cole.

Medicare renewal time

For my older readers, it's open enrolment time for medical insurance. We are being bombarded with TV ads and direct mail with a confusing number of options and it's difficult to sort out the right solution. The people you can talk to are all working for some company. I thought this article in the Wall Street Journal was a little helpful.

San Francisco has very lax enforcement polices towards petty theft, like none. San Francisco Has Become a Shoplifter’s Paradise. Walgreens has closed 22 stores in the city, where thefts under $950 are effectively decriminalized.

Buttigieg and Family Leave. Buttigieg’s office told West Wing Playbook that the secretary has actually been on paid leave since mid-August to spend time with his husband, Chasten, and their two newborn babies.

World’s Fair Offers a New View of Michelangelo’s ‘David’: Just His Head. A nearly 17-foot 3-D printed replica at Italy’s pavilion in Dubai showcases the biblical hero with its famous face visible on one floor and its body on another. This article has interesting insight on the sculpture.

Go Nukes. Outside the White House, much of the world is moving toward reliable energy. More here: Common sense to the rescue. Japan’s carbon goal is based on restarting 30 nuclear reactors.

Education Horror Show, Continued. A teacher is targeted after she described the baleful effect of critical race theory.

Dave Chappelle May Help Tame Wokeness. There are other signs, too, that our revolution may be moving past its Terror and toward its Thermidor.

On a business trip to India, I found the people incredibly entrepreneurial but unable to build a great economy because of the restrictions imposed by the Socialist government. The tech sector has taken off because it's impossible to regulate the flow of information, but the rest of the country is stagnant. Perhaps things are changing: The privatization of Air India could mark the end of a long history of bureaucrats running the country’s businesses.

Never in recent American history has any administration birthed such disasters in its first nine months.

Let's go Brandon

If you are mystified by references to Brandon, here is how "let's go Brandon" became a way to shout an obscenity to President Biden.

Follow the Science – Except When it comes to Natural Immunity. How does one achieve immunity? As the CDC explains, there are two ways. Natural immunity is acquired from exposure to the disease organism through infection with the actual disease. Vaccine-induced immunity is acquired through the introduction of a killed or weakened form of the disease organism through vaccination.

The Police State Comes to America. An army of moms (and dads) have been asserting their parental responsibilities and their constitutional rights by showing up to school board meetings and voicing—sometimes angrily—their contempt and disgust for those school boards and teachers promoting and sanctioning ideas and ideologies opposed by the parents.

New York City will phase out its programs for gifted and talented primary-grade students in the name of “equality,” reports the New York Times. The group of kindergarten students currently enrolled in the special programs will be the last to be offered the accelerated learning courses. The reason? Not enough black and Hispanic students are able to qualify for the program. So rather than offer accelerated learning to anyone who can qualify, the city is catering to the lowest common denominator.

Robocalls. While the FCC often makes headlines for issuing “record” robocall fines, the vast majority of those fines are never collected. A 2019 Wall Street Journal investigation found that the FCC has collected just $6,790 of the $208 million in robocall fines imposed since 2015. Of the $1.5 billion in robocall fines issued by the FTC since 2004, the agency collected just $121 million.

The first step in liquidating a people is to erase its memory. Destroy its books, its culture, its history. Then have somebody write new books, manufacture a new culture, invent a new history. Before long that nation will begin to forget what it is and what it was. The world around it will forget even faster. The Historical Falsification of Columbus’ ‘Crimes’

Harvard astronomer Avi Loeb, has recently written an essay in which he considers whether human beings have free will and how long the human race will survive. Loeb is a prolific and often quite thoughtful scientist who has a refreshing propensity to think outside the mainstream. However, his recent essay in Scientific American, titled “How Much Time Does Humanity Have Left?”, is well off the mark. I think he profoundly misunderstands human nature and human destiny.

Just as that dystopian ministry exists to rewrite history to ensure that it corresponds with the Party’s current view of the world, so the ACLU now seems to think its job is to mangle old quotations so that they don’t offend 21st-century woke sensibilities.
