Special Thanksgiving Edition

What happens when Irish people taste an American Thanksgiving dinner for the first time?

Ten reasons to be thankful for president trump.

And be thankful for private property.

Thanksgiving for dummies, or rather college professors.

Here's a more thorough explanation of the interplay between the Europeans and the native Americans.

WKRP's episode of the Turkey Drop was the best Thanksgiving episode of all time. Watch the episode on YouTube here. Turn up your sound.

Climate Change

Why everything you hear about climate change is wrong.

Attorney General Barr gave a terrific speech about the damage to the nation by the resistance.  It got great reviews from reasonable analysts. The Left is of course over-reacting.

More on the whistleblower, Eric Ciaramella. It's like the Cheers bar, everybody knows his name.

When the villain is Obama and not Trump, suddenly the news isn't worth reporting.

If you have decent speed on the Internet, here are some very nice B&W photos of the hearings.

Sycophants who flatter child climate oracles deserve ridicule.

This ring galaxy is 600 million light years away. In the picture are more galaxies even much more distant. Kind of makes the universe seem really big.

Soldiers have been in the news lately. The most decorated soldier of the Vietnam war had almost as many article 15's and medals.

King Sobieski defeated the Muslims on the outskirts of Vienna, preventing them from taking over Europe in 1683. His statue is too controversial to be placed in Vienna.

A new Clint Eastwood movie is coming out. "Richard Jewell" paints the press as incompetent.

There are so many Muslim immigrants in Sweden that it's turning into a war zone. Of course the media doesn't even mention the demographics of the folk causing the problems.

Vaping isn't a good thing, but it's safer than smoking. The scary news you've seen lately has been the result of black market marijuana infused products, not commercial ones. Of course the media has failed to take recognition of that subtle detail. Trump was right to not ban vaping products.

The media is ignoring Hunter Biden's latest baby from an unwed mother, unlike the reaction to Bristol Palin's pregnancy. Joe Biden didn't appreciate getting a question from a reporter about it. Hunter has yet another kid from his late brother's widow.

Here's a review of a book detailing the deep state plot against the President

The Whistleblower and the Lt Colonel

Eric Ciaramella is the whistleblower and LTC Alan Vindman is the guy who was so concerned about the phone call that he told Eric about it.  Here's the real mystery of those two. On the same subject, here's ten reasons the hearing is really a coup.

Clint Eastwood has a new movie out: Richard Jewell, about the guy who found a bomb in Atlanta during the Olympics. The FBI decided he was the bomber and leaked the information to the press. He was innocent of course. The movie is based on this article in Vanity Fair.

Remember Harry Potter's invisibility cloak? Somebody made one.

It seems like a daily occurrence that California Governor Gavin Newsom does something stupid, though it may be more often than daily. Here's an example: California owns over 50,000 cars; Newsome has decreed that the state can only buy electric cars.

Jessica Meir is on the space station. She has a twitter page which is kind of interesting. The space station looks kind of junky in some photos.

Three Indiana judges were suspended after a brawl that left two of them wounded.

People in Zimbabwe are complaining that those Chinese manufactured condoms are too small.

These people had half their brains removed and they are still getting along fine. Of course they vote Democrat.

Mayor Pete Buttigieg claims to be a Christian, so we should vote for him even though he's gay. A close look at his theology makes one suspect.

How the Japanese bombed Michigan in WW2.

Why Trump held up the money to the Ukraine.

Much has been made about Trump firing some ambassadors. Obama fired every ambassador that had been appointed by Bush.

We have talked before about the SPLC. They have declared Franklin Graham as a leader of a hate group.

The Democrats and the media have been trying to spin the connection between old Biden and young Biden as much ado about nothing. Old Biden has a record of asking the government to do what young Biden's firm wanted.

Here's a guy who moved from LA to a small town in Idaho. He experienced culture shock.

Tony Abbott, former Prime Minister of Australia, delivered the annual Global Warming Policy Forum lecture in London on October 9. The title of his lecture was “Daring to Doubt.” He began with some general observations on our peculiar age.

A fascinating article on the K-T boundary

This article tells the story of how different scientific disciplines led to the understanding of the extinction of the dinosaurs.

This art critic says it's time for the Louvre to take down the Mona Lisa

Stilton Jarlsburg's commentary on guns in Mexico. If you link to his home page, you can see more from him.

A very nice picture of a Saturn rocket.

A project by Oregon State has rounded up signatures from 11,000 scientists warning us about the dangers of global warming.  One writer looked at the list, which includes all kinds of scientists, and found only 240 (2%) individuals with professions that can be construed as bona fide meteorologists, climatologists, or atmospheric scientists. Since there are 10,000 such scientists in the US, that seems like a minority. The list is currently unavailable while they purge it of names like Micky Mouse and Albus Dumbledore from Hogwarts. If you have the time, watch this analysis.

Here's more on the whistle blower who sparked the latest impeachment inquiry. He's a Democrat operative.

And you thought the Chevrotain was extinct. Scientists managed to get a photo on one in the wilds of Viet Nam.

Here's a cool photo of Mercury flying by in front of the Sun. If you want to see a closeup, go here.

An interesting article about the laws against eating on the subway platform.

Some cities are banning natural gas. I sure enjoyed having it while the electricity was off.

Universites are really going down hill.  Stanford students were triggered by having a conservative speaker. And The Daily Northwestern apologized for covering a Jeff Sessions event.

Three Marxists decided to share an apartment in the spirit of Marxism. They found out it doesn't work.

An honest leftist admits the truth about all those benefits. Higher taxes on the poor and middle class.

A compelling article about the 737 Max and the way pilots fly these days, by William Languische, son of the writer of the famous flying book "Stick and Rudder". The problem is that pilots don't really fly much, the computers do it and when something goes wrong the pilots don't know what to do.

A thorough article about the truth about the homeless in San Francisco. Hint: it's not the cost of housing. California's Proposition 47 has created a whole new problem with theft.

The Army is developing a new type of helmet--lighter and more protection.

The Babylon Bee is becoming the paper of record instead of a satire.  Consider this article on Baghdadi. There's a really funny aspect to this satire: the very last suggested headline was the one actually used by the Washington Post until the outcry forced them to change it.

The real reason the legacy media is freaking out over the Baghdadi mission.

The coming vindication of Donald Trump may lead to a restoration of the Consitution.

You will recall that in the movie Jurassic Park, they took blood from a mosquito trapped in amber to clone dinosaurs. Here's a collection of creatures trapped in amber.

More from the Bee: Texas is luring jobs from California with promises of electricity.

The UK has halted fracking. Boris Johnson’s government, which is preparing for a general election, said the ban would be in place until there was “compelling new evidence” that it could be carried out safely. There is plenty of evidence that fracking can be carried out safely, though there are many misguided activists who disagree. Elizabeth Warren plans to ban Fracking when she is elected president, surely attractive to her base of supporters. The US has become an exporter of petroleum since fracking took off; 90% of our oil comes from fracking and natural gas has become so cheap that companies have stopped drilling for it.

Natasha Lipman "My husband squeezed my hand to say he wanted to live, then I found a way to save him". A great first person article about phages.

California has much, much bigger problems than wildfires.

The House of Representatives acknowledged the Armenian genocide of 1915.
